Back in business…

After 8 months of silence I’m back on this project.

Yesterday I’ve officially started to work on a paper about my research, I’ll post more detailed info soon.

GRADUATION!!!

At the end I’ve graduated with honours in computer science thanks to this GPGPU project.

Soon I’m going to post some charts and the presentation showed during my dissertation (I need to translate it in english).

Now I hope to continue this research project in my spare time, mostly I’d like to improve the terrain engine and implement some hydraulic erosion algorithm, so come back soon for new updates ;-)

Temporary break

This week I’ve started to write the thesis document, so in the next weeks I’ll be more busy with writing than with something else.

I hope to continue the research in my spare time, and to continue it after I’ll get my degree too, anyway every other news about the project will be posted on this blog.

The beginning…

I’ve started this blog in order to keep and share the experience made working on my master thesis project: “generation and erosion of terrains with a GPU“, you can find more info about my project in the about page.

I think that a blog is the better way for my purpose, I can publish news and articles about everything I do in a quick and easy way and wordpress is a great tool for that.

After a couple of installations (yeah, sometimes I break everything up…) I’ve also created a theme for wordpress using an existing one as template, the next step will be to write a couple of posts so to level my knowledge and the info in this blog (I’ll edit the timestamps so to reflect te time I’ve spent on each issue). After that, I’d want to publish a post every time I do some progress with my project, well, I hope so :P
